Julian Scott - EP // COO - Nihil UK

Julian is a BAFTA-nominated Executive Producer and Fractional COO. For over 30 years, he has been developing, financing, packaging, and co-producing intellectual property internationally.

Over the last few years as an independent consultant and Executive Producer, Julian has overseen the development, financing, production and exploitation of over 200 episodes of internationally successful television series across scripted, unscripted and children’s, as well as family-focused feature films.

Julian has held corporate roles in both the UK and US including Vice President of International Production, Creative Development at Walt Disney International Television in Los Angeles, and Group Vice President of European Operations at Sesame Workshop in New York and London. He was also Head of Children’s & Family Programming at both Coolabi and Zenith.

He is a member of BAFTA, the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the UK Production Guild and, in addition to producing his own IP, he is a business consultant for Creative Enterprise under its Business Builder Initiative.

Julian prides himself on spotting strong IP, which is both commercially viable and creatively unique, working with the best creative talent and commercial partners to deliver high-quality, engaging content that can be distributed and exploited on every platform and outlet, delivering multiple long-term revenue streams.

Martina Silcock - Producer - Nihil US

Martina Silcock is a British-Irish Producer from Manchester, UK, with a passion for scripted drama. She has worked on a diverse slate of shorts, features and high-end TV dramas, including Pig, The Last Kingdom, My Mad Fat Diary, Curfew, Mogul Mowgli, and Man in an Orange Shirt. Martina’s work in production has led her across the globe, including Hong Kong, Greece, Hungary, and now the USA. Currently based in Los Angeles, she is actively championing independent cinema and innovative storytelling in developing several US- and UK-based projects, as well as writing a short she will direct. As a Producer, she aims to elevate underrepresented voices, with a particular focus on stories dealing with identity and relationships, especially those with science fiction and magical realist elements. In 2020 she founded LookBeyondTheList.com, a resources site for systemically underrepresented groups working behind the camera in scripted TV and film.

Ben Gojer - Producer - Nihil US

Ben is a producer and special effects artist in Los Angeles. He produced Brandon Daley’s debut feature $POSITIONS which premiered at SXSW 2025. He is in post production on Casey Donahue's debut feature, a giallo-inspired succubus movie shot on mini-dv tape entitled My Love For You Is Deep But The Devil Loves Me Deeper. In 2024 he produced a slate of 5 horror features with Joe Swanberg for Yale Entertainment.

He was a lead producer and special effects supervisor on All Jacked Up And Full Of Worms, which won Special Mention for Best Debut Feature at Fantasia Festival 2022. He was lead special makeup effects artist and associate producer on Peter Vack’s feature Assholes, which won the inaugural Adam Yaubach Hornblower Award at SXSW in 2017. Ben loves making singular cinema that inspires visceral awe of this big beautiful scary world. 

 

Charles Pieper - Creative Director - Nihil US

Charles is a writer/director. He's directed numerous short films and has written several feature screenplays. He is one of the writers of the 2024 Shudder original film 'Destroy all Neighbors' starring Alex Winter and Jonah Ray Rodrigues. Charles comes from an animation background, specifically stop motion, but works most frequently in live action production.

His short film ‘Malacostraca’ played in over 30 festivals across the world including top horror fests such as Overlook, Beyond Fest, and Motel X, before premiering online at Director’s Notes and then ALTER. The feature length screenplay expansion of it was a horror semi-finalist in the 2021 Austin Film Festival.

He also produced the stop motion short 'Everybody Goes to the Hospital' which travelled the world in the 2022 fest circuit. He attended Emerson College in Boston as well as studied film and animation at FAMU, NCSA, Calarts, and MassArt. He is currently writing a new slasher feature film for Director Sam Fox. 

Chris Alsop - Art Director - Nihil UK

Chris is a writer/illustrator for Nihil who specializes in hand drawn and painted film posters, comics, and band art. A self-described disgruntled librarian, Alsop is based outside of Greater Manchester. He illustrated Everybody Goes to the Hospital and Civil Service.

McKenzie Stubbert - Post Producer - Nihil US

McKenzie is a post-producer for Nihil as well as an Emmy-nominated // AMP Award-winning composer based in Los Angeles. He has scored some of the pioneering and award-winning VR films for Chris Milk, Annapurna Pictures, Kathryn Bigelow, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. In 2017, he scored the documentary ELIÁN, produced by Alex Gibney and CNN Films. And in 2024 he scored the documentary THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEENTOWN.

He has released two full-length albums, "For Their Return" and "Waiting Room".
